Vintage Chinese wound glass 22mm round bead in opaque yellow. Pkg.1 B11-yo-1049.2

Rare old Chinese wound glass round bead in opaque yellow with a slight green tinge. They are hand made and average 22mm in diameter with  4mm stringing hole. These beads date from the early 20th century and were purchased by a collector in the 1960s in San Francisco. While  popularly called Peking glass they are not true Peking glass. These beads have the distinctive soft gemstone colors and bubbles of old Chinese glass made in Boshan, Shandong province in China.
