This is a beautifully carved deep red Chinese carnelian agate pendant. It features a consistent color and translucence, measuring 2.8 x 1.6 inches with a thickness of 0.3 inches. The carving showcases a foliar design with vines, leaves, fruit, and flowers that wraps around both sides, and there is an appealing translucence at the edges. A hole at the top allows for a bail. This piece was purchased in Hong Kong in the 1970s and weighs 39.4 grams.
