Vintage sterling silver Navajo cuff bracelet from the 1930s-1940s features a split cuff at the center. It has a bezel-set blue-green matrix turquoise stone, bordered by silver wire swirls. Stamped double arrows decorate each side, with more decorative stamping along the cuff's sides and ends.
This cuff comes from the Fred Harvey Era. During this time, tourists flocked to the Southwest after Route 66 was completed. Fred Harvey shops sold these bracelets to visitors at popular spots along the highway. The Fred Harvey Company filled its hotel gift shops with sought-after Native American crafts, including Native-style jewelry. This bracelet captures the style popular in Fred Harvey stores.
