This Victorian Vulcanite long faceted bead necklace features graduated beads measuring 7mm to 12mm. It is 30.5 inches in length and showcases beads dating to the mid-1800s. Professionally restrung with knots between each bead, this necklace was crafted using Vulcanite, a natural rubber treated with heat and sulfur that makes it more durable. Vulcanite was popular in Victorian black jewelry as an alternative to Whitby jet.
This necklace will express my life stages, as a person who bears XX chromosomes. These pale pink will be infancy/toddlerhood. I love these beads because the color is SO subtle and "barely there", much like our consciousness at birth. Thank you for making them available, I love them!!
I love creating long necklaces that are not toooo over the top or difficult to wear. This pendant will become the centerpiece of a slim necklace featuring tiny faceted sapphire beads with little sterling spacers. I love it!!
