Antique late 19th century Victorian Bohemian natural genuine garnet brooch with vermeil setting. Multiple concave layers in starburst pattern. 6 smooth garnet stones at the tips and one larger center cabochon at the top of the dome. The remaining clusters of garnets are rose cut. 1-3/8 inches in diameter. Dome is 3/8 inches high. The layered construction has openings to that allow light underneath to highlight the garnets. Very good condition, with a few replaced stones. The original C clasp has been replaced with a sliding safety clasp. The hinge and back of pin are in good original condition. 8 grams
