Tibet or Nepal silver and Lapis Lazuli hair ornament. A lapis stone is set in a flat-backed coin silver setting with vertical string holes at the base. Hair ornaments are traditional jewelry worn by Tibetan women, typically placed on either side of the face in front of the ears. This piece is perfect for use as a pendant or a focal bead in a necklace. It was acquired by a collector in Nepal in the 1970s. Dimensions are 32x27x16mm, weighing 22 grams.
