Beautiful Chinese beads carved in translucent orange carnelian  with carved basket weave pattern. 11-12mm diameter. The hand carved beads are a rich orange color and make wonderful focal beads. Carnelian  is a varieties of the silica mineral chalcedony colored by impurities of iron oxide. These originated in China, probably in the 1980s-1990s. Sold in packages of 2.
