This necklace features unique, mottled green round and oval "Peking glass" crumb beads from the Art Deco period, circa 1930s. These hand-crafted beads were made in Gablonz, Bohemia, and vary in size, with the smallest measuring 5mm and the largest an 18x12mm oval. The necklace is 35 inches long and is completed with a gold-wash sterling silver vermeil box clasp. Although known as "Peking Glass," these beads originated in Gablonz, Czechoslovakia, and were quite popular in the 1920s and 1930s. The necklace has been restrung due to its age with a replaced vintage clasp, but is otherwise in original condition.
