An antique Japanese Satsuma pendant set in gilded silver. It features the characteristic cream color and fine crackle in the glaze. The hand-painted scene depicts a beautiful woman and her daughter standing by a lake, observing ducks. In the background, there are rocks, trees, and a distant mountain. The pendant has a dark blue and gold border and measures 58x48x10mm. The ceramic painting is set in a sterling silver vermeil setting with a newly added silver loop for hanging. The back bears a small, illegible stamp that may be the artist's chop. There is some loss of gold paint in the blue border. This piece dates back to early 20th century Japan.
