Antique Chinese silver needle case from the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), likely made in the 19th century. It is shaped like an urn or vase and hangs from a floral chatelaine clip. Two chains with peach charms hang from the bottom, providing a counterweight, and the charms are engraved with symbols. The vase displays intricate repoussé work and chasing, with foliar designs and ornamental borders on both sides. The case measures 2-3/8 inches x 1-7/8 inches x 3/4 inch, while the needle case tube inside is 1-3/4 x 3/16 inches. Including the chains and chatelaine clip, the total length is 9 inches. The needle case has a lovely patina.
