Opaque green antique Chinese wound beads. Early 1900's. Size ranges from 9-11mm.  Hole size averages 2.0mm.These are handmade beads and may be slightly irregular in size and shape, which adds to the unique and genuine quality and beauty of the bead. Imported in the 1920s by China Trading Company in Seattle. These beads are popularly called Peking glass but are not true Peking glass. These have the distinctive soft colors and bubbles of old Chinese glass made in Boshan, Shandong province in China These beads were often used in decorating Chinese baskets which were very popular in the Art Deco era.
