Gorgeous  antique glossy black Chinese Peking Glass wound round beads. The Chinese did not produce much black glass and therefore these  beads are rather rare. These beads were imported in the 1920's.  These are handmade beads and may be slightly irregular in shape and size, which adds to the unique and genuine quality and beauty of the bead. Imported in the 1920's from China. These beads are popularly called Peking glass but are not true Peking glass. Before 1911, beads of this type were used in Mandarin Court jewelry.
