Gorgeous glowing translucent antique Chinese round wound beads in a deep cobalt blue. Early 1900's. These are handmade beads and may be slightly irregular in shape and size, which adds to the unique and genuine quality and beauty of the bead. These are 9x10mm. Hole size is 2.5mm. Package of 6.

These wound beads were likely made in Boshan, Shandong province in China and imported in the 1920's from China. These beads are popularly but incorrectly called Peking glass. Before 1911, beads of this type were used in Mandarin Court jewelry.
