Antique opaque blue Chinese wound glass beads. 9mm with 2mm hole. These are handmade beads and may be slightly irregular in size and shape, which adds to the unique and genuine quality and beauty of the bead.  Imported from China in the early 1900s,  Package of 6 beads.

These beads are popularly called Peking glass but are not Peking glass. These have the distinctive soft color of old Chinese glass and are made in Boshan, Shandong province in China. These beads were often used in decorating Chinese baskets which were very popular in the Art Deco era.
