This exquisite belt-necklace is crafted from 5 strands of high-grade, sterling silver Belcher chain, connected at 2-7/8 inch intervals by silver bars. The clasp, comprised of two trapezoidal plaques with filigree wire and additional decorative appliques, latches using a hook. The total weight is 134.3 grams, and the length is 30 inches. Age unknown, it was purchased in the 1980s from a collector's estate in Kerala, South India. An eye-catching and unique piece, it wears beautifully when clasped at the side or bottom of the neck.
