This vintage Navajo cuff bracelet, dating from the 1930s-1940s, features an oval turquoise stone set in sterling silver. It is in very good vintage condition, with a split band and decorative stampings. The turquoise stone is elegantly set in a simple bezel on a secondary stamped silver cutout strip attached to the split band.
This eye-catching piece comes from the Fred Harvey Era, a time when the completion of Route 66 brought many tourists from the east to the southwest. These bracelets were often sold at trading posts along the highway and other popular destinations, where there was a significant demand for Native American crafts, especially jewelry in the Native American style.
