Antique Meiji period Japanese Satsuma pendant. The pottery is set in sterling silver vermeil with a bail at the top of the back. The hand painting is very fine in bamboo forest with blooming flowers forest floor. Gold border. The characteristic Satsuma chop is stamped on the back. 1.6 inches diameter. (41.5mm). 9.9mm in thickness. Excellent antique condition.
Slip a ribbon or a chain into the bail and its ready to wear.
