How exciting to find a carved a jadeite gourd in ‘natural’ colors of light russets, golds, greens and browns. In addition, jade carvers valued the stone for its contrast, translucency, subtle colors and shades. The double pierced carving would make a lovely pendant hanging from a rust colored silk cord.
