Vintage reverse painted hollow glass bead, all hand painted, each side has a different design. Pancake disk shape. This stunning bead was painstakingly hand painted on the interior some years ago in China. It has a layer of clear glass over translucent painted tawny brown core. This bead has fine detail depicting yellow bird and lotus blossom on one side, flowers and butterfly on other side with a brown background. Artisans who can do this type of work have become scarce to extinct in China today and these little works of art are no longer being made. 31mm diameter with a 17mm thickness. Sold individually.
