Antique Japanese Satsuma ceramic pendant set in a sterling silver gold wash vermeil. It is strung with cylindrical black onyx beads and features accents of Goldstone and white bone beads. The pendant is encased in a sterling silver vermeil back, marked with the artist's chop. It showcases the signature cream color and fine crackle in the glaze. The delicate enamel painting illustrates tree branches with golden leaves and two colorful birds perched on some branches finished with a thin gold and thicker black border adorned with golden dots.  The necklace is finished with a sterling silver vermeil filigree box clasp.   The Satsuma pendant measures 1.5 x 0.3 inches, with a total length of 18 inches.
