Rare early 20th Cent. antique, carved Chinese Nephrite Jade Earrings. The earrings are double sided in the traditional shape of a Chinese wedding basket. Finely carved genuine natural nephrite jade devil's work pieces connect to gold filled wire and ear wires. Please note that the carving patterns are slightly different as is common in hand-carved pieces such as these. Often referred to as “Devil’s work”, the single Jade stone has been carved into two interlocked movable sections. It was said that human hands could not do such amazing work, hence the name “Devil’s work”. 1- 7/8" total length from top of ear wire. Jade pendant is 1- 1/8" long and 3/4" at the widest. 5 grams
