This rare and exquisite earrings feature Momo Coral and large Akoya Japanese salt water pearls. Japanese Momo Coral focal beads define the earrings, allowing for a beautiful look with a deep texture and gorgeous color. There are Momo Coral in two 13mm+ beads, with 9mm+ semi baroque pearls. Momo Coral is extremely rare and is only produced when a sponge inhabits a coral colony, emitting an acid that carves little tunnels which becomes it's habitat. This process differentiates Momo Coral (a precious coral) from Sponge Coral (not precious), which has differently colored vein-banding and a different texture. These earrings are made with gold filled wire, including a shepherds hook earwires with a secure silicone ear nut.
