A superb pair of jade earrings featuring genuine vintage Mysore carved rubies and  Chinese jade pi donuts. The vintage Mysore barrel shaped rubies have been intricately carved in India. The jade pi donuts or Bi are a type of circular ancient Chinese jade artifact. The earliest pi was produced in the Neolithic period and are meant to represent the sky and the revolution of the stars. These Bi were purchased by a dealer in China in the 1970's. A truly one of a kind pair of earrings to grace any any outfit from a wedding dress to a jean jacket. Definitely worth a splurge. Assembled with sterling silver wire, chain and sterling ear wires. 2" inches in length including ear wire.
