Large rare bead of precious coral.  Vintage genuine undyed pink and white angel skin coral bead from the estate of a collector who acquired it in the mid 1980s.  Beautiful delicate color and excellent polish.  1mm stringing hole.  10.8 grams.  44.5 carats.  28x19x13mm.  

This bead has a thin surface fissure that occurs naturally and does not affect the structural integrity of the bead.

This type of coral is no longer being mined and collected and the US currently has a ban on coral imports. Precious coral beads of this size are rare.
