The miniature folk art of fruit pit carving has been practiced in China for centuries. These are mid-20th century elaborate finely carved figural beads depicting one of the 8 immortals This is Lun Tung pin with the symbols of the sword and the fly-brush. These were purchased in Hong Kong in the early 1970s. Carvings with this level of handwork are not being produced today. Each is individually hand carved and so vary slightly in size and detail. Average size is 36 x 16 mm.
This necklace will express my life stages, as a person who bears XX chromosomes. These pale pink will be infancy/toddlerhood. I love these beads because the color is SO subtle and "barely there", much like our consciousness at birth. Thank you for making them available, I love them!!
I love creating long necklaces that are not toooo over the top or difficult to wear. This pendant will become the centerpiece of a slim necklace featuring tiny faceted sapphire beads with little sterling spacers. I love it!!
These beads are beautiful, the color is unbelievable and the shine really stands out. I use seed beads a lot and have already used these for various bracelets.
