Victorian cameo brooch of Hebe feeding the eagle of Zeus. The beautiful setting is rolled gold and is rosy in color. C-clasp, t-hinge, and extended pinstem. There is a safety chain and pin connected to the bottom of the cameo frame back. Condition is excellent. The carving is most likely Italian, the frame English. 2-1/4 inches by 1-7/8 inches Hebe was a daughter of the god Zeus, personified youth and was the cupbearer to the Olympian gods. The subject was very popular in Victorian England.
