Modernist huge cabochon Ruby pendant, glistening with chatoyant inclusions. This stunning stone  measures 21mm ( about 13/16” inch) in diameter, approximately 42 carats, and is cut in a deep half sphere shape. Due to the age of this piece, it is unlikely to have been heat treated or glass filled, and overall the stone has a velvety appearance. This amazing stone is encircled with a 14kt yellow gold modern setting.  Pendant is 1 1/2 x 1 x 3/8 inches.  c. 1960  15 grams.
