Victorian Revival mother of pearl and stained bone inlay horn bangle
This is a beautiful bangle bracelet of carved horn with inlaid mother of pearl dots and stained bone squares. Some of the white inlaid circles have some wear showing the material underneath but otherwise in overall good condition. The bone is stained a coral color. This bracelet came from the estate of an antique jewelry dealer, and I am unable to get any history on it, From my research in believe it is from India and made of buffalo horn. This bangle is fashioned in the style of Victorian black horn bangles with similar mother of of pearl pique inlay, The creation of this bangle required gifted craftsman and is beautifully done. This bangle probably dates to the 1970's perhaps has been out of circulation for much of that time as it is in pristine condition. inner diameter is 2-3/8 inches. 1/2 inch wide 3/8 inches thick. Flat on the inside and rounded on the outside.
