Cylindrical Phenolic resin "African Amber" bead from the African trade.  Approximately 28x22mm. .13 grams.  These date to the mid 20th century or earlier.   These beads are highly prized and traded in Africa and are made of Phenolic resin.  Made in Germany in the early decades of the 20th century, beads of this composition have been traded in Africa for over 100 years.
