Carved Dragon Head Hubei Turquoise necklace,17 to 22mm, 27" in. j-nlbd2179

This is an outstanding vintage 27" long carved turquoise necklace. The slightly graduated deeply carved dragon head turquoise beads (approximate 17 to 22mm with 7mm Hubei turquoise spacer beads) originated in China. The necklace is terminated with a 14Kt gold clasp concealed in a carved matching turquoise bead. The condition is excellent, the quality of the carving is exemplary to match the quality and natural color of the turquoise. These beads are very old and very rare.
Similar beads were used in Qing Dynasty Mandarin court necklaces. Weight is 166 grams
