Antique Victorian Etruscan Revival Bohemian Brass and Coral Glass Hing
A Bohemian Etruscan revival bracelet from the late 19th century. Beginning in the 1860s, there was a revival of the design elements of ancient Etruscan and neo-classical periods, and this movement endured into the Edwardian era. The front of the bracelet has gold filled brass coils and coral glass stones in granulated settings over an openwork base and is typical of layering of metals popular in Victorian and Edwardian jewelry. Pointed spiral cones dot the face of the bracelet. This is a hinged bangle with a well functioning hinge and tight push in clasp. The back of the bracelet is smooth with a decorative geometric design overlay. 2-3/8 inch inner diameter. 1" wide in front, 3/8" wide on back.
