The pottery is set in sterling silver vermeil with a bail at the top of the back.  The hand painting is very fine depicting cottages, trees and a temple along a river.  Dark blue border with gold ornamentation. The characteristic Satsuma chop is stamped on the back. 1.75 inches  (44mm). 1.4 inches (35mm) wide.  In excellent antique condition.
