This pendant was made from one of a collection of antique Chinese porcelain shards acquired in the 1980s by a dealer who had an exclusive shop in Malaysia. He commissioned the silver work to Malaysian artists and sold these pendants in his shop. The shards are from pottery made during the Chinese Ming Dynasty period 1368-1644 A.D. and are approximately 300 to 600 years old. This dealer selected a choice group of shards, which were carefully cut and skillfully set in sterling silver. In terms of quality and authenticity they are a cut above many of the shard pendants on the market today. We were fortunate to have acquired this wonderful collection and are pleased to offer them to you at a very reasonable prices.
