A modern reproduction of an ancient Phoenician glass bearded male head pendant. These are hand made in Java. Each one varies slightly in size, shape and pigment. Average size is 40x28x17mm.
These are copies of glass head pendants made in Phoenicia, Cyprus and Carthage in North Africa during the 5th to 3rd century BC. They are fabricated in artisan homes much like the originals- rod-formed with applied elements in different colored glass. Each of these glass heads have a rod hole at the bottom. It is suggested that these were worn as protective talismanic ornaments
