9 Antique Chinese Agate and Jasper Mala beads, central China. average 19mm. b4-aga275

These beads were acquired by a friend of mine who found them in a canvas bag at a village market in central China. Being a faithful treasure hunter, he lugged the heavy canvas bag across China during his travels and sold them to me. What a treasure! The beads in this group are agate and jasper We believe these are Mala beads, as a few of the beads have a flat area for the thumb. They average 19mm in size. Average bead weight is 9.5 grams.  The beads alternate with antique Chinese glass beads.  This group is the last of my collection.
