Russian hand-painted lacquered paper mache snuff box with fairy-tale Baba Yaga painting. In pristine condition with a leather pouch.  1.5x1.2x..7 inches.
This little box was made in the Russian village of Fedoskino by artist Demyanenko V.N.  Fedoskino is an artisan village that has been making painted lacquer miniatures for over 200 years.  Fedoskino boxes are the favorite for collectors and are the most prized of that genre.
