brvc355-Victorian rolled gold and black enamel bangle
Marked 1/20 12k, this bracelet was crafted in the late 19th or early 20th century from rolled gold. Rolled gold is made by fusing over a base metal a thin layer of gold, and then rolling it into sheets of varying thicknesses. Rolled gold is quite durable, and this bracelet shows little wear with the exception of some loss of the black enamel decor. The clasp is in very good working order and the original safety chain is still intact. The design of the bracelet features a lovely stamping of flowers on a background of tiny leaves. This bracelet is generous in size and will fit most modern wrists easily. 2.25 x 2.50 inch inner diameters. 1/2 inch wide
