nlvs711gh-Vintage Persian silver filigree & turquoise collar necklace   Beautifully crafted in 840 silver and turquoise, this vintage Persian necklace has a bold and intricate design. 17 panels of hand worked filigree, each measuring 38x20 mm in size are decorated with a bezel set cabochon of Persian turquoise and two suspended filigree pedant balls. Each plaque is connected by a sturdy silver jump ring at the top allowing the necklace to unfold and fan out when it is worn so that the pendant balls are free to move and sway. The clasp is a clever key and joint mechanism that will keep the heavy necklace securely in place and allow it to lay flat. In excellent vintage condition with some natural oxidation. A stunning artisan piece purchased by a woman who was an avid collector of middle eastern jewelry in the mid 1900s. this piece is Persian and dates from the 1970s or earlier.
