nlvs704-Turkish silver fringe necklace   Superb sterling silver & coral fringe necklace, purchased in Istanbul in the 1960s. There are 5 hinged links with inset coral stones. Each link has 3 dangles of silver links and a pendant with coral bead. Hinges are beautifully made. Can't say enough about the excellent silverwork. One of the coral beads in the dangle is chipped on top, and through a loupe one can see that it is dyed coral. Halay is a silver jewelry manufacturer still in business in Istanbul.
