Earthly Adornments - nlbd936-Necklace of antique Indian agates

Fabulous strand of antique Indian agate beads in a wonderful medley of shapes and colors. This piece has 5 very old and collectible carnelian melons. Some of the stones have banding. All of the stones exhibit that soft matte rounded look of antique handmade agate beads that have traveled many miles and passed through many hands. The strand is finished with braided cotton string and a bone bead closure. The stringing is very sturdy. Looks like a Naga piece. Bone bead & loop closure. 28 inches. This piece came from the estate of a woman who traveled extensively in the middle east and India and purchased rare antique jewelry back in the 1950s and 1960s.
