Fabulous artisan made necklace of 2000 year old Bactrian glass shard beads, freshwater pearls , a 22k gold slab bead and hand made sterling toggle clasp. Bactria was located in what is now northeast Afghanistan and was on the silk road, and a major trading center for more than 600 years. These beads date from 300BC to 300AD. They have been hand picked for color and the wonderful rainbow sheen that results from being buried for thousands of years. They are string on sterling silver foxtail chain with freshwater pearls and a 22k gold bead inbetween each shard bead.
