Earthly Adornments - mior250gh-Vintage brass Japanese letter opener

This letter opener has beautiful detail. The handle is cast with a bas relief design of a tasseled samari sword and a calssic samari head dress. The blade has been expertly engraved with slender branchs and a bird. There is a bit of wear and bending to the balde consistant with age that does not detract at all from the beauty of the letter opener. 6.6x4.0cm
