pdvc446-Mid Victorian hand painted porcelain and enamel portrait locket

This is a gorgeous locket. The face is a domed porcelain stone with a hand painted portrait of a young girl. Set into a rolled gold bezel and framed with a gold and black enamel Greek key design border. There is a locket compartment in the back with a glass front. The glass has some scratches. The hinge is fine and the locket closes firmly. There are some scratches to the surface of the portrait but not noticeable until looking under magnification or very close up. The Greek key design pointes to the neo-classical period. Around 1880. 1-3/8 x 1-5/8 inches.
