fbvc113-Men's Victorian silver watch chain with Etruscan style ball pendant
Illustrations of watch chains like these can be seen rendered in exquisite detail in pen and ink drawings from jewelers catalogs from the 1860's and 1880's. Details like the finely made Etruscan style silver ball with its many layers of filigree and complex abstract designs was a very popular motif for both men and women's jewelry in the Victorian period. The silver ball pendant is hollow and measures 10mm and is suspended from a chain with a complex oval woven motif. The large spring clasp (15mm in diameter) is in excellent condition and works smoothly. 13.5mm long
