Victorian Era (1830’s – 1900) - The surge in industrialism and the influence of other cultures, like India, impacted the fine jewelry of this era. Fine estate jewelry was also influenced by a monarch in mourning whose own tastes reigned in the opulence of the era. Edwardian Era (1901 – 1910) - Queen Alexandra wore beautiful Edwardian fine jewelry; the look of lace translated into platinum and advances in stone cutting and steam technology yielded more intricate fine jewelry.
