erfn106-Vintage Purple Chalcedony and Jadeite 14ct Yellow Gold Ear Rings   These ear rings are really impressive. They are made from truly lovely translucent purple chalcedony and bright lively-green precious jadeite cabochons. The purple chalcedony is held in place with 4 gold prongs and the 7x4mm jadeite cabochons are bezel set in the center of each chalcedony disk. The workmanship is excellent; on the back of each ear ring you can see where the setting for the jadeite has been bolted securely to the back of the chalcedony so that the jade seems to float in the center of the ear ring. The back of the ear rings are posts that show no signs of bending or damage. There is a very slight polishing mark on one of the chalcedony disks close to where the jade is set; I really had to look for it under 10x magnification to find it.
