This very interesting set of Victorian buckles is cast to look like cut steel buckles from the same period. This pair may have been intended to be worn on shoes, but because of their size it is more likely that they were meant for a ladies belt or manufactured for the military industry to decorate the large and elaborate ladies hats worn in this period. The design is an abstract radiating pattern. The back of the buckles has been welded in to place. There is some bending to the buckles. In excellent shape. 6.7x4.7 cm. Sold as a pair
