nlbk778-Art Deco Egyptian Revival plastic link necklace
This is a fabulous mid-1920s necklace made of translucent horn colored plastic with metal pharaoh heads affixed to the 3 main links. This genre of necklace is getting rather rare, you don't see them that often, and this one is oh-so 1920s in style and subject: it was likely made shortly after the discovery of King Tut's tomb in the early 1920s, which was followed by a resurgence of Egyptian Revival style jewelry. Its very well made with sturdy silver metal rings and spring clasp. The main panel has a few scratches but they blend in very well and can be buffed out. main panel is 3x1.5 inches with 1.5 inch dangles. 24 inches around.
