Flexible wrap and cinch Ezel Bezel

Saturday, June 18, 2011 10:01:03 PM PDT

Introducing the Ezel Bezel- a flexible wrap and
cinch bezel for cabochons and stones
A flexible sterling silver bezel in rhodium, black rhodium and 14K gold vermeil finishes. In two widths. Wrap the bezel around your cabochon or stone and cinch with sterling, gold filled or oxidized silver wire depending on your finish and you have a pendant in a bezel setting. These are a great solution for some of our vintage stones that are irregular in shape and size. We are selling the bezel by the inch so you can buy just the right length

1. Measure the object circumference with bezel wire.
2. Cut the bezel wire to fit the size. We've heard that overlapping by one hole in the bezel and tying into the next hole also works fine.
3. Cut a piece of 24 or 26 gauge connecting wire to close the bezel wire, long enough to make a wire wrapping.
4. Use a piece of the connecting wire to connect the two holes on bezel wire to close.
5. Finish with wire wrapping a bail or wrapping a finished bail onto your pendant. If you like, you can use a crimp cover to close the bezel wire.

We found that this takes some patience and practice to get a professional clean result so take your time and experiment.

Rare tin cut beads from late 1940s Occupied Japan
We are so excited to have found these! Tin cut glass beads from Occupied Japan. Late 1940s. The facets were made by hand by placing the bead on a notched wooden stick. The cutter would press them against a tin wheel to create the facets. When you look closely at these beads you can see that the facets are hand cut; the facets are very close in size but not exact.
In 6mm cubes, cones and colored core rounds. Still in original packaging in uncirculated condition. Limited to stock on hand

Art Deco press-molded glass pins

Monday, September 28, 2009 12:04:49 AM PDT

Recently, our treasure hunter in Prague found these wonderful press-molded glass brooches for us. They are of the Art Deco era and were made in the early to mid-1930s. These pins were on a manufacturer's sample card and are in fantastic condition! We have about a dozen of these one of a kind glass brooches and will continue to get them all listed. Most of them are in the shapes of bows and buckles.

The glass industry in the northern Bohemia region was known for its wonderful beads, buttons and other baubles. That industry came to a halt with the advent of WWII.. Reproductions of the old buttons are starting to surface in the market but I haven't seen repro's of these glass pins. A rare treasure at a great price!

We will be getting some belt buckles in the same genre and they're gorgeous. We'll have them in a month or so.
