pdvs539- Antique turn of the century British sterling silver locket and chain

Beautiful turn of the century sterling silver locket. the face has a repousse geometric ornamental design of a grid with flowers. On the back are a variety of hallmarks. There is a London assay import mark used beginning 1904. a 925 sterling mark and an 'A' in calligraphy style. A makers mark of MC in a rectangle. The bail is marked MEP925. The chain clasp has additional silver hallmarks and its likely the chain was added later.

The locket is 1 x 1.5 inches and snaps shut securely. Each half of the locket has a crystal setting behind which a photo or memento can be placed. Chain is 21 inches. Excellent condition.
